2025 saw the return of our podcast, Speaking of Jung: Interviews with Jungian Analysts, after being on hiatus for most of 2024. This year we released 19 episodes and revived our YouTube show, Speaking with Laura. I want to thank each and every one of our distinguished guests for their time and generosity. I look forward to continuing the work in 2026.

Ep 152: Goethe’s Faust

Dec. 10, 2025: Jungian scholar Professor Paul Bishop, Ph.D. (Ep. 131, 135, 141) returned to the podcast to discuss his latest book, the second volume in the series Jung and the Epic of Transformation. Goethe’s “Faust” as a Text of Transformation explores the profound influence Goethe’s masterpiece had on Jung, from age fifteen up until his final years. Prof. Bishop writes, “According to Jung, Goethe’s Faust is ‘an alchemical drama from beginning to end’ … it is nothing less than ‘an alchemistic mystery story.’”

Jan 7: The Psychedelic Jungian

Zürich-trained Jungian psychoanalyst Fiann Paul (Ep. 145) returns to the podcast to explore the relationship between depth psychology and psychedelic experiences. I will be asking him specifically about the opportunities and challenges that have emerged in the rapidly developing field of psychedelic-assisted therapies. Fiann brings a rare blend of clinical insight, symbolic understanding, and lived experience, offering a perspective that is both grounded and thoughtful. His upcoming series of lectures at the C.G. Jung Institute Zürich during Winter Block 2026 are open for online participation.

Feb 2: James Hollis, Ph.D.

I am honored to welcome back Dr. Hollis for his ninth appearance on Speaking of Jung to discuss a new book, co-written with artist Enrique Martínez Celaya. Tending the Fire: Creativity, Purpose, and the Unfolding Self invites readers into a conversation where questions, not answers, take center stage. The authors believe that it is the questions we ask—about meaning, purpose, and self—that make life both interesting and developmental. The book is scheduled to be released by Chiron Publications on February 1 and is now available for pre-order.

Feb 18: Angeliki Yiassemides, Ph.D.

Dr. Yiassemides is a Jungian psychoanalyst living and working in Cyprus. She is a member of the Malta Developing Group, an Honorary Member of the Cyprus Society of Analytical Psychology, and is a certified Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist with the MIND Foundation in Berlin, Germany. She will join us to discuss her books, Time and Timelessness: Temporality in the Theory of Carl Jung (Routledge, 2016) and Time and the Psyche: Jungian Perspectives (Routledge, 2017), as well as her in-depth research into the topic of synchronicity.

Mar 11: Gita Dorothy Morena, Ph.D.

Dr. Morena is a Jungian psychoanalyst, sandplay practitioner and teacher, and great granddaughter of the author of The Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum. In her book, The Wisdom of Oz: Reflections of a Jungian Sandplay Therapist (Waterside Productions, 2014), she explores how Baum was inspired to write the story and why it has become so popular in our culture. She includes information about the Baum family, as well as the deeper messages and symbolism of the story. Her focus is on how this American fairytale reflects the individuation process and expresses the aptitude and authority of the feminine.
