Ep. 162: Fate & Destiny

July 16, 2026 ~ Jungian analyst Morgan Stebbins, D.Min, returned to discuss the concepts of fate and destiny from a Jungian perspective. He explains, “The core quotation about fate and destiny comes from the fourth chapter of Aion, paragraph 126 in which Jung says: ‘The psychological rule is that when an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside as fate.’ And then there’s another line, which changes and clarifies his meaning. He continues, ‘If the individual remains undivided and we are not conscious of our inner opposite, the world then acts out the conflict and is torn into opposing halves.’”

August 2026 ~ Robert H. Langan holds a doctorate in Psychoanalytic Studies from the University of Essex in England. A scholar of Jung and Spinoza, he also specializes in speculative metaphysics and psychological types. Posting under the name Wrath Mania on Substack, he delves into Complex Psychology after Jung, theory, culture, dreams, and nonsense. He lives in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey, and has yet to see the Jersey Devil. Dr. Langan’s book, Jung and Spinoza: Passage Through the Blessed Self, was published by Routledge in February 2025.
