Ep. 154: Enrique Martínez Celaya & James Hollis, Ph.D.

Jungian psychoanalyst James Hollis, Ph.D. returned for his 9th appearance on Speaking of Jung to discuss his latest book – a collaboration with celebrated artist and author Enrique Martínez Celaya. Tending the Fire: Creativity, Purpose, and the Unfolding Self was released by Chiron Publications on February 1st and the two co-authors joined me in early February for a very special video edition.

Ep. 155: Angeliki Yiassemides, Ph.D.

Jungian psychoanalyst Angeliki Yiassemides, Ph.D. joined me from Nicosia, Cyprus to discuss her books, Time and Timelessness: Temporality in the Theory of Carl Jung (Routledge, 2016) and Time and the Psyche: Jungian Perspectives (Routledge, 2017), as well as her in-depth research into the topic of synchronicity. She is a member of the Malta Developing Group, an honorary member of the Cyprus Society of Analytical Psychology, and is a certified psychedelic assisted psychotherapist with the MIND Foundation in Berlin, Germany.

March 2026: Gita Dorothy Morena, Ph.D.

Dr. Morena is a Jungian psychoanalyst, sandplay practitioner, and great granddaughter of the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, L. Frank Baum. In her book, The Wisdom of Oz: Reflections of a Jungian Sandplay Therapist (Inner Connections, 1998), she explores how Baum was inspired to write the story and why it has become so popular in our culture. She includes information about the Baum family, as well as the deeper messages and symbolism of the story. Her focus is on how this American fairytale reflects the individuation process and expresses the aptitude and authority of the feminine.

April 2026: Morgan Stebbins, D.Min.

Dr. Stebbins is a Jungian psychoanalyst, supervising analyst and former Directory of Training at the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association in New York City. He maintains a private practice in Cold Spring, New York, where he also has a sand tray practice and is available online. His published essays include “Jung, Gender, and Imagining Sexual Diversity,” “Uncertainty and Healing in the Archetypal End-Times,” and “A Jungian Guide to Lacanian Concepts.” His first book, A Jungian Approach to Transforming Compulsion: A Clinical and Symbolic Guide to OCD, will be published by Routledge on Apr. 1, 2026

May 2026: Murray Stein, Ph.D.

A companion edition to Murray Stein’s wildly popular book, Jung’s Map of the Soul: An Introduction (Open Court, 1998) will be released on May 18th by Chiron Publications. Dr. Stein will join me in May to discuss Jung’s Map of the Soul – Deeper Explorations in addition to the return of BTS! Visit our Murray Stein page for all the background information you’ll need.

June 2026: Paul Bishop, Ph.D.

Professor Bishop returns to Speaking of Jung in June to discuss the third volume in his series, Jung and the Epic of Transformation. This time we wrestle with Nietzsche’s “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” and the Challenge of Transformation, scheduled to be released by Chiron Publications on May 25th. See Episode 135 on Volume 1 (Wolfram von Eschenbach’s “Parzival” and the Grail as Transformation) and Episode 152 on Volume 2 (Goethe’s “Faust” as a Text of Transformation).
