Speaking of Jung was created by Laura London in 2015 to explore the work of Carl Gustav (C.G.) Jung. This extensive website contains over 200 pages of information with an accompanying podcast of over 170 episodes exploring the field of Jung’s analytical psychology through in-depth, one-on-one discussions with Jungian analysts. These psychoanalysts undergo many years of post-graduate analytic training with a certified institute of the IAAP and are required to undergo hundreds of hours of personal analysis. Our podcast features interviews with certified Jungian psychoanalysts.

Jung–The Basel Years: A Walking Guide ~ Daimon Verlag, Sept. 30, 2025 ~ The culmination of a decade of research, exploration, and immersion in the city where Jung spent his formative years, this book is authored by Swiss Jungian analyst Kathrin Schaeppi (Ep. 148), who has called Basel home since the age of 15. It features recent and historical photographs, timelines, family trees, and detailed maps of five walking tours through Basel—retracing the steps of Carl Jung’s early life and uncovering the influences that shaped his psychological theories.

⚪️ (Ep. 152) Jung and the Epic of Transformation, Vol. 2: Goethe’s “Faust” as a Text of Transformation ~ Chiron Publications, Oct. 1, 2025 ~ The second volume in this series by Paul Bishop, Ph.D. (Ep. 131, 135, 141) examines key texts in German literature and thought that were, in Jung’s own estimation or by scholarly consent, highly influential on his thinking. The project of Jung and the Epic of Transformation consists of four titles, sequentially arranged to explore great works from a Jungian perspective and in turn to highlight their importance for interpreting The Red Book.

⚪️ J. Gary Sparks (Nov. 27, 1948 – Mar. 20, 2025) ~ Gary was more than my guest on this podcast (Ep. 2, 28, 35, 114, 119) he was also a dear friend. He will be deeply missed. Here is a link to his full obituary, and please visit the memorial page by his publisher and friends at Inner City Books.

⚪️ Ann Casement (Jan. 1938 – Jan. 8, 2025) ~ Professor Casement was one of the kindest and most generous guests I’ve ever had. We recorded two episodes together, Ep. 51 and Ep. 86. Rest in peace, great lady.

⚪️ Thomas Patrick Lavin, Ph.D. (Oct. 7, 1941 – Jun. 3, 2024) ~ Ep. 17 guest Tom Lavin (as he was known) passed away last summer. I will miss attending his talks at the C.G. Jung Center in Evanston. My deepest condolences to his wife, Dr. Mary Ellen O’Hare-Lavin.

⚪️ David Rosen, M.D. (Feb. 25, 1945 – May 7, 2024) ~ After entering Hospice House in Eugene, Oregon, on Dec. 29, 2023, Dr. Rosen (Ep. 93) passed away in May. An excerpt on his concept of egocide from the book, Transforming Depression, is one of the most visited pages on this website.

⚪️ Deldon Anne McNeely, Ph.D. (d. May 4, 2024) ~ Her family held a private ceremony on May 11, 2024. “Del” (Ep. 13) is survived by a son and two daughters.
